The foul-tempered guardian of the Carnivorous Forest.
Personality
While his herbal remedies are extremely potent and sought-after, Tetsuhiko is known to travelers as an unpleasant person to work with. His anti-social nature combined with his arrogance makes it hard to deal with him. Most people leave in a huff and empty-handed, and only the most patient and persistent ones get to have one of his legendary remedies, provided they managed not to anger him. Since he is so difficult, people usually avoid the area, which suits him just fine.
He is actually very nice to his plants, always ready to sing their praises when they grow strong, and to scold them when they misbehave. In a way, he acts a bit like their father, rather than their keeper.
Background
Tetsuhiko lives mostly alone (as alone as one can be when their soul is linked to another being’s) in his spot of the forest, away from society and with dangerous mutated plants as his only company. He is the official keeper of the “Cursed Greenhouse”, a huge garden the size of a small forest full of extremely dangerous plants that he grows for both his amusement and to study them. Thanks to the fact his soul is directly linked to the spirit Krai, they don’t recognize him as a “human” and don’t harm him. As for the poisonous ones, Krai’s protection gives him full immunity against those as well.
His soul is directly linked to Krai, a spirit of shadows, through a Soul Bond. Because Tetsuhiko was born with more human genes than the average person, it made him very vulnerable to corruption. His parents decided to give his soul to a shadow spirit in exchange for its protection, making their child’s left eye and part of his hair pink.
Trivia
- Tetsuhiko loves dressing up.
- He dyed his other strand of hair lime to better fit his green/pink aesthetic.
- His elixir can cure almost every illness, provided one can even get their hands on it.
